Job summary
A unique opportunity for an accomplished Data Scientist to join a leading laboratory changing clinical practice!Our client is a key player within medical devices sector, focused on delivering accurate non-invasive, point of care tests to patients. Their patented technology is used to measure patient breath samples for specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as biomarkers of cancer, liver disease and gut microbiome diseases. As a Principal Data Scientist within this company, youll be at the forefront of driving enhanced data science solutions to the wider business.
Youll be responsible for:
* Leading and managing a team of 8-10 talented Data Scientists and Biostatisticians
* Promoting the benefits of data-driven solutions to stakeholders to drive business success
* Collaborating across functions to ensure the execution of complex projects within the Data Science and Machine Learning domain
* Getting technically hands-on in supporting the team
This role is for you if you possess:
* PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or any other related discipline
* 5+ years industry experience in data science, statistics, machine learning and advanced analytics
* Excellent leadership skills
* Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Competency in programming languages (Python, R, etc.), Data Analysis and Visualization libraries (Numpy, Pandas, etc.) and Machine Learning libraries (Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow, etc.)
* Excellent understanding of entire Machine Learning algorithm lifecycle, from research to deployment into production
