Job summary

Senior Systems and Applications Engineer (Hardware & Firmware) | Circa £60k | Permanent | Cambridgeshire

We are currently working with a well-known, Semiconductor company, that focuses on developing cutting-edge sensor solutions, that offer accuracy, reliability, and efficiency for clients in the medical, automotive, industrial, and consumer applications industries.

This role focuses on creating flow and gas sensor applications, along with validation test rigs and product demonstrators.

Package:

Salary circa £60k DOE

The role:

Develop and comprehend customer requirements for flow and gas sensing solutions, emphasizing electronic and firmware integration.
Create company product demonstrators, including electronic assemblies, firmware integration, and PC software implementation.
Validate company-based solutions through lab testing, focusing on electronic and firmware integration and testing.
Provide customer evaluation and design-in support, addressing issues and assisting in end-product integration solutions.
Offer post-sales support, assisting customers with issues related to company-based solutions.
Contribute to custom electronics and software development, program planning, and the companies intellectual property creation while maintaining task schedules and reporting progress in team meetings.
About you:

Degree in relevant field and experienced in the following:
Designing electronic systems encompassing analogue and digital aspects, including board-level electronics design and debugging.
Developing software using C/C++ and Python for running demonstrators and test equipment.
Designing electronic PCBs using KiCAD.
Creating test specifications, planning, executing, and reporting test outcomes.
Integrating application test setups and demonstrators.
Collaborating with customer engineers and engaging with customer management on gas sensing applications.
