Job summary

We are currently seeking additional Support Workers to work within our partner school settings in North and South Bristol. This role involves supporting young people and children with a range of Special Educational Needs.

About the role

We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who, with additional experience and training may eventually become permanent with the schools you work at. In this role, you will be working Monday to Friday at the same school, time time only. The role is very similar to a Teaching Assistant role, so experience as that would be advantageous.

About the school

The Support Worker Special Needs role involves supporting Primary or Secondary aged pupils who have been identified as having additional needs. These needs range from ASD, PMLD, Complex needs, Mobility, SEMH and MLD. We can have a chat about your preferences and place you at the school that best matches this.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Support/Care Worker - Special Needs you will:

Be confident, reliable and professional in your work.
Have a genuine interest and care in working within SEN and learning disabilities.
Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
We must be able to obtain valid references from these roles.
