Job Title: Health & Safety AdvisorSalary: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30 am - 4.30 pm

Flex Benefits: Discounts on Gym, Mobile, and RetailJob Purpose: As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the H&S Manager in implementing the Company's Health Safety Wellbeing, Environmental, and Energy Management Systems. This includes conducting audits, inspections, developing procedures, preparing reports, and providing guidance to employees and subcontractors. Your focus on safety leadership will contribute to fostering a positive safety culture within the organization.
Duties:
Conduct regular positive observation inspections and audits, reporting and acting accordingly.
Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and wellbeing concerns, identifying improvement opportunities.
Prepare and present leading and lagging indicator statistics relevant to safety strategy development.
Advise and assist staff on Health & Safety, Environmental, and Energy Systems and procedures.
Source, plan, and deliver training to employees to recognized standards.
Promote health and safety culture at all levels within the Company and subcontractors.
Assess competence of subcontractors.
Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings at various levels.
Liaise with clients and attend meetings as instructed by the H&S Manager.
Contribute to the development of safety, health, environmental, and energy initiatives.
Prepare and distribute regular health and safety alerts.
Contribute to the development of operating procedures and Safety, Health, Environmental, and Energy Management Systems.
Conduct risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and write method statements ensuring compliance with H&S and legal obligations.
Drive continuous improvement within the Quality Management System.
Coordinate training for health & safety and manual handling.
Coordinate internal annual audits for various safety aspects.
Disseminate information to all sites on team talks, H&S culture board, accidents/incidents, and near misses.
Input data into relevant systems, ensuring actions are completed.Person Specification: Skills:
Relevant H&S qualification (Certificate IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH essential or equivalent).
Behavioral safety experience is advantageous.
Experience in a health and safety/environmental/energy related role.
Presentation and training delivery experience.
Knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and energy management systems.
Auditing and compliance experience.Other Factors:
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office and Databases).
Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) across all levels.
