Salary: £30,000 £46,525 (MPS / UPS) + TLR (£3,563 per annum)

About the role
Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a desirable secondary school and sixth form in the Tunbridge Wells area to recruit a Teacher of Religions Education (RE) for a permanent position.
This role is suitable for an ECT, or more experienced teacher who is fully supportive of the schools Catholic identity. The successful candidate will support the subject leader in the day to day running of the department as well as teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and GCSE (with the potential to also teach at A-Level).
You will be joining a very successful department with 4 other full time RE specialists that is highly valued by students and parents.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Teach your subject from Key Stage 3 to GCSE (and potentially A-Level)
To monitor and support the progress of all learners
To facilitate an engaging learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to maximise their potential
To work in collaboration with the RE department in the development of departmental resources and schemes of work
To provide pastoral support for young people and to promote their wellbeing

Requirements include:
Teaching qualification with QTS / QTLS
Knowledge of secondary RE curriculum with experience teaching to GCSE and the ability to teach to A-Level
Ability to establish and maintain high quality planning and recording
Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and parents/carers
Ensuring a safe, productive, and engaging learning environment
