Job summary
Prospero Teaching work with many Primary schools across Hampshire who regularly require short and long-term Teaching Assistant support to cover things such as staff absence, sickness, maternity cover, and permanent recruitment.Schools are ideally looking for experienced people who can support their pupils as they learn throughout the school year.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to support the Class Teacher with the delivery of the pre-planned schemes of work and assisting children on a 1-1 basis as well as in small groups.
Typically, these children may well need extra support so people with some experience of working with pupils who have additional learning or behavioural needs would be particularly favoured.
A full-time role would usually involve working from Monday to Friday.
Candidates usually begin working on a supply basis but where a good match between candidate and school is established, the opportunity to take a permanent role is often extended to the candidate.
