Technical Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer Leeds - £25-29k + 20% bonus + excellent benefits, WFHThis well-established organisation requires a driven and self-motivated 2nd Line Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer to join their busy technical services team based out of Leeds, Yorkshire. The key to this role is 2nd Line Support / User support and hence you will be a good communicator with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. You will have excellent customer support skills with a can do attitude and have previously worked on a busy service desk where you will be responsible for the IT service delivery including Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management processes using ITIL best-practice guidelines.
The role will be primarily remote with 1 day travel a month to the office in Leeds.
Core responsibilities:
Resolve and respond to incidents & problems submitted through the Service Desk via telephone, email or web portal.
Onboard new starters and offboard leavers, from an IT perspective.
Troubleshoot and information gathering for 3rd line escalation.
Mentoring and training colleagues within the immediate team and wider business.
Maintaining services within the group, in line with SLAs/KPIs
Responsible for maintenance of service desk documentation for internal and customer facing.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Supporting hardware onsite
Core skills required:
Experience working in a second line support role supporting M365 / O365, Windows 10 & 11, Active Directory, Laptops & Mobile devices.
Experience of using an IT Service Management Toolset - ITSM
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions with colleagues or external clients.
Ideally have previously worked in an ITIL environment.
Knowledge of IT Security, Infosec, Cyber threats etc
