Job summary
Platform Resourcing are working in Partnership with an international manufacturing company situated close to Pencoed in South Wales. Due to an increase in demand, they are looking to employ an Electronic Repair Technician. Reporting to the Production manager, this key role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day repair of electronic defect products from assembly to final processes.The ideal candidate should possess an electrical maintenance or engineering-based qualification. Proficiency in soldering components and experience in the repair of equipment.

Private healthcare Electronic Repair Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Fault analysis of various consumer products & reporting of production data.
Repair of defective circuit boards to component level.
Control of technical repair spare parts using automated part ordering system.
High level Soldering skills (Silver / Gold) to enable soldering of varied surface mount components.
Achievement of production repair targets.
Clearly documenting all findings and repairs carried out.
Support new model introduction in fault investigations providing technical reports using Microsoft office.
Control and implementation of key process changes.
Provide input during design for manufacture evaluations.Electronic Repair Technician Essential Skills and Qualifications:
It is anticipated the successful applicant will have an HNC or equivalent in an Electronic/ Electrical engineering related discipline.
Soldering experience is essential.
Ability to read & understand computer programming languages.
An excellent knowledge of electronics systems.
Excellent communication skills - able to work as part of a team
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
