Job summary
We are hiring for an experienced Demand Planner within a leading FMCG company located in Basingstoke.Due to the need to collaborate with the wider teams this is an office based role - Monday-Friday
As the planning lead for the UK, you will be responsible for developing and managing the demand consensus plan based on forecast and establishing the supply plan for the region. Working closely with various internal S&OP stakeholders in the UK and the European supply chain team. Responsible for the documentation of the demand plan for UK and Ireland and procurement of each category of products. You will work cross functionally with various department including Sales, Operations and Marketing.
Role and responsibilities
Responsible for facilitating the monthly demand consensus process and ensuring UK forecast accurately reflects the latest demand plan by month and by category.
Lead demand review meetings, provide insights on forecast accuracy, demand drivers, and potential risks or opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop demand plan for various product lines.
Utilise advanced statistical models and forecasting techniques to generate accurate demand plans
Create the Supply and demand plan to ensure accurate level of inventory is bought to fulfil customers' orders.
Lead supply review meetings monthly and escalate issues when needed with various stakeholder in the business.
Monitor inventory levels and accuracy and generate monthly inventory reports.
Maintain system up to date with product life cycle changes.
Own, monitor and publish reports, dashboards related to inventory, sale forecasts, procurement, etc.
Provide support to the users for loading sales forecast in SAP/IBPQualifications
3 to 5 years' experience as a demand planner in an FMCG/CPG company
Have a good understanding of S&OP process at the market level and globally
Experience working with forecasting models and demand planning processes in a multi-location distribution environment and/or product families.
Advanced proficiency in relevant software applications (Excel and SAP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Detail-oriented and capable of working with large datasets
Proven track record of delivering accurate demand forecasts and optimizing inventory levels Continuous improvement approach and self-motivation.
