Role Overview:
As the Head of Department for Religious Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our students' perspectives, providing engaging lessons that explore various faiths and belief systems. You'll lead a talented team of educators, ensuring a dynamic curriculum that encourages curiosity and respectful dialogue.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an innovative curriculum that encourages students to explore religious and ethical issues at both KS3 & KS4
Lead and mentor a team of passionate educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive departmental culture
Organise and oversee extracurricular activities, such as clubs or visits, to enhance students' understanding of different religions and cultures
Collaborate with other departments to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Monitor and assess student progress, providing guidance and support where needed Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant teaching qualification and experience in Religious Education
A deep understanding and respect for diverse religious and cultural perspectives
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire both students and fellow educators
Creativity and innovation in delivering engaging lessons
