Job summary

Time Appointments are working on behalf of an innovative international container transport and logistics service provider who are recruiting for a Traffic Coordinator due to the growth of the business. This client is well respected in the industry with a reputation for providing customer-focused solutions, quality services and continual innovation, while providing exceptional career and development opportunities to their employees.

The key purpose of this role is to ensure maximum utilisation of vessels, by proactively coordinating with regional teams based across Europe, being responsible for data handling, forward planning and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

* Daily co-ordination of vessel allocations, loading and transhipment.

* Timely and appropriate dynamic vessel space allocation revision taking account of local market situations, value assessments and opportunities.

* Daily report generation via enterprise and external systems.

* Timely management of cases requiring special contingency planning and special allocation during any periods of service disruption to optimise opportunities and minimise negative impacts.

* Close communication with colleagues, partner lines and any additional external customers.

Skills & Experience:

* Previous shipping experience, minimum 2-years.

* Strong Analytical / Problem Solving skills.

* Excellent IT skill set, including all Microsoft packages.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to multitask.

* Capable to work under pressure, using own initiative and prioritise own tasks.
