OverviewH9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for an EC&I Engineer to work at our clients Biomass plant in Port Talbot
Role and Responsibilities:
Act as the expert authority on site with regards to (EC&I) systems in particular ensuring plant is maintained safely and systems are made available at all times.
Work closely with the technical department in Europe, keeping up to date with all system changes and upgrades, and recommending improvements back to the technical department.
Manage projects as required, ensuring that the Company receives high levels of quality, cost-effectiveness and customer service.
Ensure compliance with relevant and changing legislation, maintaining a continuous improvement approach to EC&I systems and technology.
Developing the CMMS system to ensure the operation and maintenance of the plant is in line with the O&M manuals
Identification and set up of support contracts.
Management of day-to-day maintenance contractors as well as managing packages of work identified during outage periods.
Oversee the installation, testing and ongoing operation of plant monitoring systems and machine protection systems.
Maintenance of EC&I systems on the plant including investigation and rectification of faults.
Day to day administration of the plant control systems including fault-finding, routine maintenance, updates and managing system back-ups.
Provide expert advice within the wider company as and when required, which may involve business travel.
Supervision of EC&I Technician.
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years Thermal Power Plant C&I Engineering & Maintenance experience.
HND level Control & Instrumentation Engineering qualification preferred. HNC minimum.
Demonstrates a background of identifying and implementing a methodology of continuous improvement in the workplace.
Previous Power Plant experience an advantage.
Experience in DCS systems and associated server and client PC platforms, HMI panels and SCADA would be an advantage. Preferable to have ABB 800xA Series experience.
Experience maintaining / managing CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System) as well as working with DSEAR regulations would be an advantage.
Experience working with CMMS
Experience of managing Assets in line with PSSR would be an advantage
