Quantity Surveyor
We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client based in Rochester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional individual to become established within a well established commercial and industrial company!
The role is permanent and office based with occasional visits for contract review meetings.
The Role:
Produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value
Preparing tender packages for subcontract works
Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget
Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer in a timely manner
Manage the subcontract tender process, including the selection of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract and schedule documentation
Ensure that each sub-contractors account is managed strictly in accordance with their terms and conditions
Vetting tenders and placing subcontract orders for various packages
Producing contract reports detailing current status of the contracts, including cash flow forecasts and liabilities
Provide input in construction project meetings
Cooperate with the Contract Manager and the Contract Director to ensure good financial management of contracts ranging from £30K -£2 M working throughout the Southeast.
You:
A full QS accredited qualification.
Must be Kent based.
Around 15 years' experience in Quantity Surveying services.
Good knowledge of refurbishment to commercial/industrial units and office blocks.
Working on JCT Minor works and intermediate design contracts.
Knowledge of the construction market / building services including costs of labour & resources.
