EAL Teaching Assistant required at a Secondary School StretfordTeaching Personnel are working with a Secondary School in based in the heart of Stretford who are looking to recruit for an EAL Teaching Assistant to work with a specific cohort of pupils in KS3 and KS4 on a 1:1 and small group basis. The role is full-time starting after the February half term and the position will be required until July.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the progression and support of EAL secondary school students. It would also be beneficial for applicants to have Arabic, Urdu or Punjabi as an additional or first language.
The successful applicant should expect to earn up to £14 per hour in this position (depending on experience), and be able to start in school from Monday 19th February.
Key Role Responsibilities & Requirements:
Providing support for EAL pupils in both KS3 and KS4 who are struggling with the subject matter.
Working under the guidance and instructions of designated staff to undertake support programs to facilitate active learning for students whilst also providing assistance to the class teacher.
Helping to pupils inside and outside the classroom and providing detailed feedback of development to the senior leadership team.
Knowledge/Experience of Supporting EAL Pupils.
Having a positive, resilient, and driven attitude.
Ability to build relationships with both students and staff in a short space of time.
Excellent communication skills and a strong passion for childrens progression and learning.
All applicants will require appropriate qualifications/experience and the Right to Work in the UK in order to be considered for this role. In addition, applicants must have an enhanced DBS (or be willing to pay for an updated one) and provide an Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
