About this position:Want to progress your Buying career? This company have experienced considerable growth over the last year and they are opening a brand new facility in Bicester. They are looking for Buyers of levels and your main responsibility will be for the continued supply of competitively priced product with best in class availability.
Responsibilities:
* Raising Purchase orders to support and deliver aftermarket parts procurement function in line with suggested MRP demand
* To ensure accurate processing of purchase orders on Sage to agreed delivery dates to serve the aftermarket retail and warranty business, which will facilitate the business target of 96% availability of core and controlled stock items
* Working with the Vendors to ensure competitive pricing to maximise business profitability and business success in line with targets
* Enhancement of supplier payment terms, delivery terms
* Evaluate New Potential Suppliers
* Setup new vendor accounts and supply chain development as required
* Preparing and processing RFQs
* Ensure timely processing of clearing blocked supplier invoices
Experience Required:
* Degree level (or equivalent) in a Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management related discipline OR 3 years experience in a purchasing role
* Extensive experience of Supply chain management, Purchase order process control, Expediting and Supplier negotiation
* Knowledge of MRP systems
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
* Experience of interpreting and communicating Engineering drawings in the various manufacturing materials and have mechanical aptitude
* Experience of processing quotations
