Job summary
Five Education are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants in Bournemouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves. Some of which have a diagnosis of Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/ or mental health challenges. They will need extra help at school, sometimes in the lesson and often at break and lunchtime.We work with a number of alternative provision schools, mainstream schools and special schools in and around Bournemouth, and we are actively looking for motivated candidates. Experience is not necessary, but a can-do attitude, resilience and initiative are essential.
Responsibilities and duties:
· Supporting 1:1 in class or in small groups
· Make learning fun and enjoyable
· Be a support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
· Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
Essential Criteria:
· Be empathetic, kind and patient
· Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
· Two references covering the last 2 years
· A relevant DBS/Police check
· Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes
· Able to work 8.30-3.30, consistently 2 to 5 days per week, term time only

The pay rate is £12.23 an hour. The day is 7 hours with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £79.50* but with the potential to earn more.
*Inclusive of holiday pay
