TeacherActive are excited to be looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis across a variety of welcoming, community focused and inclusive Primary Schools in the Exeter area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further experience in a range of local schools, as well as demonstrating your wealth of knowledge and flexibility to support and encourage children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with children of mixed abilities across all Primary year groups on a 1:1 basis or as general classroom support to the Class Teacher. You will have the ability to build strong relationships, and possess an approachable, calm and patient persona.
In return, the successful Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work with fantastic and supportive teams, on a day to day, short term and long term basis.
The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:
Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
Fantastic communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and small group basis
