Job summary

Your new company
Our client is a long-established logistics company that has been serving its customers for over 60 years, with a record for ground-breaking industry achievements and a strong international reputation. They have a passion for bringing first-class service to the market, and as such there is now an exciting opportunity for an ambitious administrator looking to further their career to join their team as a full-time, permanent Operations Administrator in their Liverpool site.
Your new role
In your role as Operations Administrator, you will be taking on a senior administration position within the Operations side of the business, being responsible for the day-to-day logistics within imports/exports such as supplier liaison, procurement and financial administration, as well as data management, collation and analysis. Key duties will be inventory management, stock control and verification, monitoring and arranging deliveries, processing of sales order/purchase orders/invoices, raising the Relevant Customs declarations, preparation of customs entries and other trade documentation and forms required for certain products by authorities such as DEFRA and Forestry Commission, liaising with importers/exporters and dealing with all queries quickly and efficiently relating to customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates and any other documentation requirements. It will be a multi-faceted dynamic workload involving multiple business areas and teams, providing an exciting opportunity to develop in many areas and enjoy a role where no two days are the same.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You must be able to create strong business relationships and build rapport with stakeholders of all levels, being process-driven with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively. You should have strong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Excel, as well as high attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy role. It is essential you have a strong background in administration, ideally coming from a dynamic role where you have handled a large workload, and it would be a major benefit to your application if you have previously worked in an operations, logistics or supply chain related capacity.
What you\'ll get in return
You\'ll receive a competitive starting salary of £24,000-£28,000 depending on experience, and you\'ll be offered fantastic hybrid working options (2 days working from home a week) and a very generous annual leave entitlement of 26 days plus a birthday privilege day and 8 bank holidays. You\'ll work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and you\'ll have an excellent benefits package which includes a holiday buy, sell and carryover scheme, 2 charity volunteering days, permanent health insurance, flexible pension scheme, Medicash, enhanced family leave policies, life assurance as well as much more. The Liverpool offices are spacious and close to major transport routes, shops and eateries, and there is a flexible smart-casual dress policy. You'll be joining a well-established team of supportive, dedicated colleagues and, overall, you'll truly benefit from the opportunity to work for a growing, well-established organisation that invests in its people and their development; providing numerous training and progression opportunities to further your career.
