Teaching Personnel are one of the largest Welsh suppliers to schools for staff for both short-term and long-term placements. While getting into work as a support member of staff in schools can be difficult, through us we can help you get trained up to secure yourself full-time work.
We are currently looking to train up a new generation of support staff, to work in our schools across Neath, Pontardawe, Glynneath and Ystradgynlais.
The role of a Trainee Teaching Assistant involves learning on how to perform the fundamental responsibilities of a support member of staff, including working with pupils with a wide range of learning needs, included, but not limited to; Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Sensory Issues. You will be expected to work alongside the classroom teacher to deliver a good standard of learning to the pupils in your classroom.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a C or higher in both Maths and English at a GCSE level.
- Have access to their own vehicle or be able to reliably commute on public transport around the Neath Port Talbot area.
- Be able to commit to the standard working hours of schools in the area, being 08:30 15:30.
- Have at least 2 days of availability each week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
