Day rate: £300 - £350 per day depending on experience
The Contractor:
A national contractor with an excellent reputation in the local region for delivering steel frame industrial warehouse schemes
Position: Seeking a Quantity Surveyor that will be overseeing subcontractor packages
Your duties will include ensuring the financial position of the Construction Project is accurately reported and controlled effectively, as well as managing contractual relationships.
Manage commercial resources to maximise margin through the placement of subcontractor contracts.
Control subcontract packages from enquiry through to final account.
Package management and change control.
Regularly review with the team contractual risks and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
Assessment of variations and valuations of subcontractor accounts.
Authorise placement of contracts, materials and plant orders.
Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement, negotiation, invoicing and payment of the supply chain.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor
Project experience in Commercial, Retail or Industrial
HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering is desirable but not a necessity
Highly Organised
Good negotiation skills
