Job summary
Our client is a customer focussed mortgage and savings based in Leicestershire. They are currently seeking an experience mortgage professional to join their mortgage servicing team, focussing on their short-term / bridging lending and development finance portfolio. You will be undertaking all mortgage back book servicing and managing various projects throughout the team.Main responsibilities of the Senior Mortgage Specialist will include:
* Ensure there are monitoring processes and control on short-term and development loan repayment strategies
* Ensure the monitoring processes and controls on commercial mortgages and private portfolio landlord mortgages to ensure information is received and annual reviews are carried out in a timely manner
* Ensure appropriate controls and monitoring are in place for large loan management, the quality of the mortgage book, lending into retirement customers management, vulnerable customers and for the development of risk recording/management systems
* Undertake Development loan monitoring Requests for drawdown, with regular monitoring of circumstances and progress towards completion
* Manage and contribute to the ongoing oversight of the back book monitoring list identifying accounts of concern
* Keep the Mortgage Support / Mortgage Specialist procedures manual updated
* Ensure knowledge of processes and procedures for arrears, forbearance, interest only and term expiry remain at an appropriate level to ensure assistance can be provided to colleagues as required
* Post completion Manage and liaise with long term mortgage borrowers concerning adherence to their post completion offer conditions where applicable.
* Support arrears oversight and management of cases where required, attend monthly arrears meetings, liaising with Solicitors and Estate Agents with regards to repossessing a Property taking the process through to sale completion
The successful individual will possess:
* Previous mortgage experience, including knowledge of short-term / bridging lending,
* Development loan knowledge would be an advantage
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and an attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
Our client operates a hybrid approach to the working week, with 2 days in the office in Market Harborough and the remaining 3 working from home. One of the days must be a Thursday and the other is of your choice
