Warehouse Manager £45,000-£50.000 (DOE) + 33 Days holiday + Annual Bonus + Early Finish Friday.The Company:
Our client is one of the UKs leading manufacturers in the nutritional industry and have an annual turnover of circa £80m. The company employs over 350 people on site and has an excellent track record of growth and ambitious plans for future expansion.
The business has been operating for over 200 years and has built a strong reputation as a market leader with several premium brands in their portfolio and a large, diverse client base operating throughout Europe.
We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Manager based in Runcorn.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading the warehouse teams ensure that the areas achieve all warehouse activities whilst fully complying with Health & Safety and GMP regulations. The Warehouse Manager should always lead by example, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, honesty and integrity at all times.
Key tasks include:
* Manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking and packing activities whilst ensuring inventory accuracy.
* To operate and abide by all safe practices and positively always encourage a culture of safe working and actively challenge those whose behaviours do not meet business expectations.
* Actively manage the warehouse teams to ensure high levels of personal conduct, attendance, quality and diligence in their work.
* Ensure the resource is efficiently managed to ensure the warehouse operation is not adversely impacted due to holidays, absence or skills training.
* Ensure that the warehouse team is meeting the required standards by regular inspections and audits in line with GMP requirements with direct involvement as appropriate.
* To ensure the warehouse areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy state audit ready standard.
* Apply the GMP standards across the warehouse department to ensure that all warehouse-related paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Promote effective communication between shifts and other departments to ensure that all equipment and material requirements are met to avoid production delays and poor customer service.
* Manage and develop the warehouse supervision roles to ensure they actively take responsibility for the performance of their teams.
* Ensure that systems are in place to ensure that the performance of the department can be accurately monitored against targets for safety, quality, output vs plan and plans in place any outstanding issues to be resolved.
* Represent the warehouse in steering meetings including but not limited to Customer Service and Contract Review to ensure that customer priorities are met as required.
* Host all area visits including customers, auditors and other stakeholders.
* Ensure that all teams report all warehouse data in a timely and accurate manner.
* Ensure that all investigations are completed in a concise and timely manner.
* Take responsibility for all HR related matters such as absences reporting and recording and disciplinary matters.
* In conjunction with the warehouse management team, improve the efficiency of the area by challenging and improving existing work practices.
What We Are Looking For:
The Warehouse Manager will have significant experience in a similar role. This position would ideally suit someone who is currently in a buying role or with the ambition to develop their career in a fast-paced subsidiary of a FTSE 100 plc. Ideally, they will have the following personal attributes:
* 10 years experience of working within a warehouse environment.
* 5+ years strong leadership experience.
* Ability to build strong working relationships both internally with key departments and externally with suppliers.
* Proactive and positive attitude to work is needed in this fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
* Ambitious to develop but willing to put in the hard work.
Working hours:
* Monday to Thursday (8am-5pm) Friday (8am-1pm).
