We are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join a highly successful environmental consultancy in Norfolk. Established in 2006, the firm has been at the forefront of Ecology, Highways, Landscape Management and Biodiversity Net Gain projects. This role is ideal for a Consultant Ecologist with experience who is looking to develop their career further or for a Senior ecologist who would like to continue to build on skills and knowledge.
The Senior Ecologist position offers:
Competitive Salary, £29,000 - £35,000 DOE
24 days holiday per year + paid bank holidays

Your duties will be:
Ecological input to a varied range of projects across different sectors
Leading, planning and coordinating field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey results
Working with other disciplines, planning and coordinating ecological mitigation works
Undertaking reporting of Preliminary Ecological Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments
Preparing protected species licence applications
Managing work enquiries, preparing bids and building client relationships
Leading on projects and managing project budgets
Mentoring and developing junior colleagues
To be considered you will need:
Have previous ecology experience, preferably in consultancy
Hold a BSc in relevant subject as a minimum
Hold full UK Driving Licence
Be willing to attend site and undertake field work within the UK
Have good IT skills, be confident using Office 365 (including outlook) and a cloud based system
Have Strong knowledge of wildlife legislation and the relevance
Have a strong client facing approach with a drive to develop and build on working relationships
Have experience with BNG conditions assessments, UK habitats assessments and protected species surveys
Hold one or more Natural England Protected Species Licences
