The Science Business Operations team is looking for a driven leader to undertake a fulfilling role as the Science Services Manager providing governance and stakeholder management across the 50+ Services in Science.
The successful candidate will work closely with all Science areas to ensure effective governance of service delivery, providing assurance to the Executive Director of Science and Director of Science (People Capability). They will coordinate development of, and management of, Service Level Agreements, order book, reporting and metrics for all Science Services. The role requires routine engagement with both internal Science and external Programme/Tech Centre stakeholders.

What will you be responsible for?
Providing Science Services support and governance across Science, ensuring consistency & compliance to business rhythm
Leading Service Delivery reviews with key stakeholders
Ensuring the production of key metrics and reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency across Science. Providing appropriate consolidated views for each reporting level and accompanying narrative
Providing an overview and be the point of contact for annual submission of Science Services data into business plans
Assessing and helping to plan future Science Services, and therefore capability requirements, based on programme demand, whilst driving efficiencies and utilisation in line with budget
Liaising with stakeholders across the business, including Heads of Science, Science Service Delivery leads, capability sponsors, Science Resource Manager and Tech Centre Group Leader Ops Control (GLOC)'s / Programme Project Managers to understand requirements and inform effective decisions
Scoping, leading and delivering multi-functional and focussed tasks
The conversion of business data into required management information and high-level reporting

Competence in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
