Job summary
Learning support assistantRemedy are currently seeking a highly experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support children with emotional needs at a school in Brentwood. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early years and a proven track record of supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities for Learning Support Assistant:
Work with the children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide academic and emotional support.
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop individualised plans and strategies for the children's academic and emotional success.
Monitor and track the progress of the children, adjusting support as necessary to ensure their success.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the children's progress, including observations, assessments, and reports.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on progress and support needed at home.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience working as an LSA in a school environment.
A strong understanding of early years and the developmental needs of young children.
Knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and guardians.
Relevant qualifications in early years or special education are desirable, but not essential.
