Job summary
Are you an analytical engineer who enjoys solving challenging engineering problems? Do you have a passion for motorsport and automotive projects? Then this is your chance to join an innovative market leader as part of their experienced design technology team.As a Design Analyst you will be responsible for providing quality analytical solutions for powertrain and transmission components and systems. Working as part of the design team you will be offering technical solutions as well as evaluate structures with respect to strength and stiffness.
You will forge great working relationships and communicate the results of the analysis as well as being part of the process to develop new analysis methods and processes.
Your responsibilities as a Design Analyst:
* Provide day to day analytical support to the engineering team.
* Analyse systems using both in-house and proprietary software.
* Undertake Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support design verification.
* Be comfortable with classical hand calculations to support design verification.
* Develop simulation tools for systems and structures.
Your current experience which will help you as a Design Analyst:
* Degree or equivalent in either Mechanical Engineering or relevant subject.
* Excellent organisational and IT skills.
* Excellent knowledge of structural analysis.
* Experience of working with rotational analysis (preferred).
* Experience working with mathematical modelling and simulation.
* Be comfortable to manage your own workload
