SEN Teaching AssistantAbout the Role:
Join our client school as an integral part of our dedicated team! We are seeking a resilient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support our pupils towards greater independence and a meaningful place within our community. Your role will involve working collaboratively to ensure the success of all our students with special educational needs. This is at a lovely Primary School in Chadderton, Oldham.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with pupils diagnosed with various needs, employing directed interventions effectively.
Demonstrate experience in aiding students with Moderate Learning Needs and implementing tools like PECS and Makaton.
Maintain high expectations for students within a SEN setting, fostering their growth and development.
Employ exceptional teamwork skills and understanding to support pupils in diverse ways to achieve their potential.
Take initiative, manage time efficiently, and contribute innovatively within the scope of your role.
Ideal Candidate:
Prior experience working with SEND pupils, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs.
Experience supporting students with Moderate Learning Needs.
Proficiency in using tools like PECS and Makaton.
Possession of a DBS certificate or a willingness to apply for one through our assistance.
