Job summary
As a Commodity Manager you will play a key role in the strategic direction of procurement for this UK based international business; concentrating on cost, lead times and performance.A key role within a small procurement team and working with high mix, low volume suppliers both in the UK and overseas, you will also have the opportunity of working with the Global Supply Team to align strategy and best practice.

You may be MCIPS qualified or just have a wide range of experience of commodity management within manufacturing, a proven background of working on strategy will be essential.

The Job:
Initial key focus areas will be:
* Develop and implement the commodity strategy
* Run sourcing projects
* Manage supplier performance
* Supplier reviews
* Manage escalated supply chain issues
About you:
You will already be working in a Commodity role with within a manufacturing environment; you will also need:
* MCIPS or equivalent
* Proven strategic experience
* Around 5 years working experience within Supply, Engineering or Operations
* Driven, self-starter and proactive
* Confident IT skills (SAP / Oracle desirable)
* Excellent project management skills
