SEMI SKILLED SHEET METALWORK - BASED IN MILDENHALL - HOURLY RATE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE - MONDAY TO THURSDAY 07.30 TO 16.30 AND FRIDAY 07.30 TO 14.00Full-time role as a semi-skilled sheet metalworker with a family run engineering company in Mildenhall. The company have been established over 40 years and are looking to recruit an additional member of the team. This is a very flexible position and the company would be happy to consider either part time or full-time applications. Opportunities for long term career progression and training are available to the right candidate. This position requires a skilled applicant. We would also consider recruiting someone who is semi-retired from a similar role who is looking for reduced flexible hours.
This role will report to the departmental workshop supervisor who will assign tasks to include the following:
Hand drilling, tapping, counter-sinking
Bench assembly
Fastener insertion
Fly press setting & operation
Previous experience with press-brakes machinery would also be an advantage.
Full health and safety training will be given across different departments to ensure work is completed safely. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment previously and be competent in working with sheet metal. We are looking for a candidate who is able to take guidance on a task and then work consistently and reliably with a high degree of precision. We also welcome candidates who are keen to learn new skills, undertake training in other departments and commit to long term employment. Benefits to this role are described below.
