Our client, a design, manufacturing and installation company are recruiting for a Project Lead to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Actively manage all customer projects within the business following procedure keeping to milestones set, and maintaining records accurately through to project completion
Proactively communicate on all aspects from handover from sales to project completion
Ownership of all project files (Upkeep, ownership & completion (& archiving) of all project files)
Manage project activities, people, training, resources and budgets (including full management and liaison with all subcontractors)
Support the development of a Project Strategy in line with Company objectives and growth aspirations with the Operations Manager
Manage and liaise with all Installation teams throughout all stages of a project. Being responsible for ensuring site readiness, information completeness is available and smooth working installation plan
Management of installation strategy, objective, planning, installer selection and compliance check, implementation etc.
Monitor and report on effectiveness of the project strategy
Be responsible to confirm that technical project data provided by the Design team and Sales is complete and fit for purpose.
Review, propose and gain approval of appointment of subcontractors in-line with purchasing SOP, Health and Safety Policy and Induction SOP
Assess project related risks/exposure to the business and ensure relevant mitigation action is in place
Ensure that all Functions and customers are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules
Have a clear understanding of the way a project is costed to take full benefit of changes in scope of works to maximise profit
Negotiate and agree site delay compensation where relevant with internal and external key stakeholders
Ensure RAMS are provided for all Installation projects, check and send to the customer
Chair Project Meetings; record and issue Project Meeting minutes
Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
Monitor project spend against budget (including remedials)
Attend pre start & site meetings when required
Check project specification against approved job bag to ensure we have the capabilities to complete the project
Develop and improve Project procedures
Check site to ensure readiness for installation (visits where appropriate and/or securing written and photographic evidence from the customer)
Manage site delivery dates including and vesting products procedure when agreed with the customer
Lead process for customer complaints; record, analyse and report
Carry out any other duties as reasonably required
Essential
Proven experience in managing multiple projects
Confident, focused and driven to succeed, inspiring others
Able to complete projects in a timely manner, and under pressure
Construction site based experience and knowledge
Ability to make decisions especially in challenging circumstances
Knowledge of relevant and current H&S legislation
Excellent administrative software skills (specifically Excel)
Organised, detail orientated and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and people skills
Professional maturity and resilience
Be prepared to work and operate nationwide
Nice to have
Proven experience in finance management & budget preparation
Working Knowledge of Construction Contracts
Experience in the construction sector
