Job summary
We at Work Lyf are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter for our well established client in the Hixon area. With over 40 years experience in the aluminium ingot manufacturing and dross recycling industry. Technological advancement in the production of aluminium alloys & light-weighting our clients future through the development of aluminium products is their greatest advantage.Their dynamic set up provides the flexibility to supply al of their customers with bespoke aluminium alloy products for an unlimited range of applications
The Role:
The mechanical fitter role would include, but would not be limited to:
* Reactive and PPM work
* Working in a heavy industrial environment
* Working on hydraulic, pneumatics, large conveyors, kilns, presses, extruders and more
* Change bearings, housing & motors
* Welding and fabricating when required
* Work on production lines
Candidates:
The ideal mechanical fitter would be:
* In possession of a recognised engineering qualification
* Time served/experienced within a manufacturing, medium to heavy or process driven environment
* Able to work as part of a team as well as individually
* Driven, hardworking and someone who wants to get stuck in
Previous work experience in heavy industry manufacturing environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.
Full time, permanent post
Salary up to £30-40k depending on experience
Contributory Pension
Working hours: 4 days on 3 days off. Rotating nights and days every 4 weeks
