With ongoing projects valued at more than £435 million, our client is well-positioned for sustained success and is currently in search of a committed Environmental Manager to join their team.
What the candidate will be doing:
Providing direction, management, and leadership on Environmental and Ecology matters, including licensing and consent, operational delivery, and audit.
Leading the production and use of Environmental Management Plans and Risk Assessments.
Overseeing performance through management meetings, audits, site visits, and specific interventions.
Leading the project-based Environmental Clerk of Works.
Ensuring Health, Safety, and Sustainability targets set by the Highways Board are met.
Providing bid support for the Highways BU and championing ECI and innovation/efficiencies within the Highways sector.
Conducting environmental training for construction personnel.
Representing Our Client in Regional Environment & Sustainability Working Groups.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will exhibit passion, strong leadership skills, and a dedicated commitment to achieving excellence. They should have experience in environmental/ecological aspects within a construction context, a solid understanding of legislation and statutory bodies, and relevant qualifications and memberships in environmental practices. Substantial experience in overseeing construction environmental teams is a fundamental requirement.
