Job summary
GSL education are working alongside a friendly and successful Primary School in Ashington and are looking for recent graduates who intend to study PGCE qualifications in 2024 and would like to gain Primary school experience in the interim. This school is part of a small trust and prides itself on team work and support. The school is easy to reach by car and public TransportWe are looking for graduates in any subject who have a career goal that involves teaching. Working as part of a team of teaching assistants you will gain experience helping Primary aged pupils both one to one and across larger class groups.
The ideal candidate will work as part of a friendly and supportive team within the classroom helping boost academic outcomes and motivate students . You will work alongside the wider team , identifying areas where students need to improve and will then assist in delivering sessions. These sessions may involve input with lesson planning at a later date .
The job requires commitment Monday Friday and the working hours are 8:30am-3:30pm (TBC)
This will be an immediate start and is Long term !
The position is a really interesting and varied role and we are looking for people with patience, kindness, tenacity and the ability to build rapport and create positive relationships with learners.

Requirements of the role - Graduate Teaching Assistant
Be able to work effectively alongside teachers providing support for students
Confident delivering small and effective sessions
A passion for assisting young people
Good level of Maths and English
Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to complete an application
Kindness, enthusiasm and proactivity with great organisational skills
Previous experience of working in schools / or childcare settings is desirable but not essential
A degree or equivalent qualification
Confident , friendly and hardworking
