They have a strong commitment to providing quality education and training, who play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce in their specific industry.We are currently seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Tutor to join the team located in Bircham Newton, Norfolk.
In this role, you will be working closely with the Curriculum Manager to ensure the team delivers training that is both innovative and captivating. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction within the access team. This involves coaching and guiding learners and new and existing staff in their professional growth.

As a Tutor in Plant Operations, your daily tasks will revolve around enhancing and monitoring the quality of training programs, consistently seeking ways to refine and elevate them. You will be actively involved in lecturing and delivering teachings and assessing curriculum material.

Key Responsibilities for the Tutor- Plant Operations
Lead the integration of Ofsted's education inspection framework into the vocational training delivery process, ensuring the attainment of course objectives in alignment with ESFA requirements. Uphold the principles of Grade 1 excellence in teaching and learning, encompassing both practical and theoretical dimensions.
Continuously review and enhance course delivery materials, equipment, training aids, Schedule It (when applicable), and documentation. This ongoing process guarantees that delivery standards remain in sync with current guidelines.
Foster a secure learning environment by promoting and upholding safety measures during program delivery through your lectures. Utilise the SafeSmart program to ensure the well-being of all participants throughout training sessions.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Instructor to facilitate the growth of instructional staff and apprentice Instructors, contributing to their professional development.
Lead the maintenance and evolution of the eLearning portfolio, facilitating the accurate capture of trainees' course reports, assessment forms, and pertinent documentation. This responsibility is essential in meeting the requirements of awarding bodies and quality protocols via the One File platform.
Assume a pivotal role in supporting the continuous enhancement plan for teaching and learning. Contribute to the implementation of standardised approaches across the institution, aligning with both Ofsted criteria and internal objectives.
Efficiently plan and prioritise tasks assigned by the line manager, ensuring a streamlined workflow.
Identify opportunities for improvements and innovations in the training delivery process. Collaborate with the line manager and relevant stakeholders to bring these enhancements to life.
Abide by manufacturers' instructions and information while consistently adhering to the College's Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments, ensuring a safe and compliant training environment.
Embody leadership through exemplary actions and behaviours, setting a high standard for others to follow.
Knowledge and experience for the Tutor- Plant Operations
Essential
Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards a level 5 Teaching Qualification.
Ideally be Assessor Qualified holding the Level 3 Award such as TAQA or CAVA
Recognised qualifications within Plant Operations
Sound-proven knowledge of current industry practices and experience in Plant Operations including Earthmoving equipment such as Excavators, Dump Trucks or Crawler Dozers and Compaction Equipment
Up-to-date knowledge of Apprenticeship standards, End Point Assessment, and knowledge of Ofsted requirements
Previous experience in teaching and coaching learners in Construction Programmes
Hold a relevant NEBOSH Construction or Equivalent Health and Safety qualification
