Job summary
Our client is a Chartered Quantity Surveying and Planning consultancy, providing traditional, expert and specialist services in commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure sectors, for both private and public clients.Due to their continuing success and growth, they're looking for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based at their Liverpool office.
Qualifications:
* A degree in quantity surveying, recognised by RICS, with a minimum mark of 2:1
* Experience or knowledge of the highways and/or civil engineering sectors
* Experience with the NEC Contract
* Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities:
* Provision of cost advice including preparation of feasibility estimates, pre and post-contract cost reports and pre-tender estimates.
* Evaluation of the cost of alternative proposals, construction methods and materials.
* Advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which project will be constructed.
* Tender evaluation and reporting.
* Submission and assessment of contractor applications and variations.
* Submission and agreement of final accounts.
* Undertake measurement in accordance with defined standards.
* Undertake cost research, market testing and data capture.
* Visit sites for the purposes of measurement, valuations, recording of progress.
* Preparation and collation of tender documents.
* Reviewing of drawings and specifications, tabulation of changes and estimation of cost variances.
* Following practice procedures generally and with regards to Best Practice documentation.
In return, our client is offering between £60k - £80k + Package - dependant on experience
