Senior Manager Talent Acquisition (Head of)

Location: Northern home counties with travel (hybrid)

Salary: £75-90,000 + bonus + car allowance + benefits

Our global market leading Client is seeking an exemplary individual to join their UK and Ireland HR team as the lead strategic Talent Acquisition lead to the business, responsible for building and overseeing the TA strategy, ensuring that it is integrated with the broader HR and business strategies. Alongside this you will lead the sourcing, recruitment and onboarding of high potential talent. They will also work with their teams on continuous improvement and operational excellence through leading complex projects and initiatives. You will be a Talent acquisition leader with progressive experience gained in the FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, manufacturing or logistics sector.

The role:

Develop and execute the TA strategy for the UK and Ireland, aligned with the overall business goals of this growing organisation, ensuring that the Talent Acquisition strategy is integrated with the broader HR and business strategies.

Partner with business leaders to identify and address talent acquisition needs.

Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.

Lead and manage the TA team in the execution of the full cycle recruitment process.

Oversee the performance of the TA team and identify areas for improvement.

Work with the TA team to implement continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Lead complex projects and initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the TA function.

Serve as a strategic advisor to the business on various talent attraction and acquisition matters.

Work with external key strategic partners to work as an extension of your TA team (PSL development and management)

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including People Leaders, Sr. HR Managers, and the broader organisation.

Allocate Talent Acquisition budget, determine make-or-buy strategies and manage external vendors.

Engage with industry best practice forums and industry benchmarking activities with regards to Talent Acquisition topics in the region.

Design, refine and monitor recruitment processes continuously to ensure that they are effective and candidate centric.

Establish and implement best practices to improve the efficiency of talent acquisition workflows.

Seek and implement feedback at regular intervals from new hires, hiring managers, and HRBPs to ensure that the recruitment process remains competitive and effective.

Establish and track key recruitment metrics to measure the function and team members against to ensure a quality experience for the candidates at all stages of the recruitment process; act based on insights gained from metrics.

Design and evaluate ongoing strategies for onboarding.

Build strategic connections with industry professionals and educational institutions for the purpose of identifying and attracting top talent.

Proactively seek out, foster, and maintain relationships with potential candidates to sustain a talent pipeline for key positions.

Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create and promote the employer brand. Position the organisation as an employer of choice within the UK and Ireland

The person

Degree educated.

Progressive Talent Acquisition of relevant experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, including experience leading an internal talent acquisition team.

Previous success as a Talent acquisition leader with progressive experience gained in the FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, manufacturing or logistics sector.

Strong track record of success in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies with DE&I at the heart.

Previous responsibility leading the full recruitment agenda from executive to front line

Proven ability to assess candidate competence and potential.

Experience in providing strategic talent consulting to business leaders.

Previous team leadership responsibility.

Track record in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence with Talent Acquisition.

Experience in successfully managing complex TA projects.

Proficient in a variety of project management tools and methodologies

Proficient with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., LinkedIn Talent Insights, Tableau, etc.)

Ability to leverage market intelligence to develop talent acquisition strategies that are competitive and forward-thinking aligned with the broader HR and business goals and objectives.

Experience in directing strategic talent planning discussions based on talent analytics, workforce trends, and business growth projections.

Experience leading complex teams in a similar role is required.

Demonstrated ability to perform and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and performance driven team environment.

Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, including negotiation and matrix management coordination.

Strong leadership, organisational and project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritise workload is required.

Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, subsidiaries and international colleagues; must work well in a team environment and have the ability to create alignment and influence others in a matrix environment.

Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal and listening skills

Decisive with a strategic focus as well as an operational, detail oriented and compliance focussed perspective

High degree of integrity, sincerity, confidence and self-awareness that appreciates, understands and effectively negotiates within and across other cultures

Comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and capable of working in cross-functional teams
