Job summary
Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Junior Buyer to join our client in Sheffield on a permanent basis. The client are a world-renowned manufacturer in Engineering and they are looking to have a Junior Buyer join their ranks. This position entails providing essential assistance and administrative support to the Global Purchasing team.Duties & Responsibilities:
* Offer administrative support to buyers and analysts.
* Coordinate with Quality Assurance and handle the receipt of mill documentation.
* Provide supply status reports to relevant departments upon request.
* Exhibit a professional demeanour and approach when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly during supplier visits.
* Respond to requests from non-regular contacts and meet short-term deadlines effectively.
* Establish positive relationships with key supplier contacts to ensure consistent receipt of supplier data.
* Maintain system accuracy at 100%, particularly regarding order status and the supplier database.
* Ensure purchase orders (POs) are entered into the system within 48 hours of receipt.
Job Requirements:
* 1 to 2 years of prior experience in a purchasing administration role is essential.
* Educational background: Completion of GCSE level or equivalent, with strong results in English, Maths, and Science.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
