Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Health and Social Care (HE) Lecturer at UCEN Manchester on a permanent, part time (17.5 hours per week) basis.We are looking for a lecturer that has nursing experience, who is currently working in the sector or is looking towards returning to practice (The post could be offered as a job share as there will be teaching on the Level 4 to 6 Higher Education programmes in the school, alongside utilising the new health suite facilities).
As a Lecturer you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.
In order to do this, you will need:
A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale
English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism
Able to teach level 4 to 6 within the Healthcare suite with emphasis on areas such as Law with regard to Healthcare sector, Nursing, Research aspectsIn return you will benefit from an excellent package including:
