Maintenance Supervisor Alfreton, DerbyshireOur client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor responsible for ensuring provision for both reactive and proactive multiskilled maintenance service for all operational equipment and facilities at their Alfreton-based site.
The role requires a hands-on maintenance supervisor that can lead by example, ensuring that maintenance is planned, scheduled, and completed in a timely manner.
Maintenance Supervisor Rewards
* £35,000 - £40,000 p.a. (DOE)
* Monday Friday
* 40 hrs per week
Maintenance Supervisor Duties
* Responsible for maintaining and further developing of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and will cooperate with the site management team to further develop a robust planned preventative maintenance regime ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained
* Improve site operational equipment effectiveness (OEE), implementing improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI), whilst ensuring all health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to
* Ensure that all operations are mechanically resilient, such that production critical assets and components, which cannot be easily sourced, are available as spares and that these are appropriately stored on site
* Assist with the scope, design, plan, cost and delivery of maintenance procedures and schedules
* Ensure adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the site
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
* Supervise / carryout the inspection and maintenance of all plant equipment to ensure that it operates safely and efficiently, ensuring that these activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant industry standards i.e., EEMUA 159
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements
* A recognised mechanical engineering qualification and must be able to demonstrate competency
* At least 3 years of supervisory experience of in an industrial processing plant, with responsibility for carrying out plant mechanical compliance and maintenance activities
* Experience of developing maintenance procedures in-line with manufacturers recommendations
* Experience maintaining and improving CMMS systems
* Will ideally have had experience working in hazardous environments
* Safety trained to a recognised standard (Or be prepared to undertake formal training)
* Knowledge of EEMUA 159, ASME 31 would be advantageous
* Excellent Supervisory and man management skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to supervise a variety of cross functional team members
* Excellent planning and follow up skills
* Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
* Good written, verbal skills & proficiency in Microsoft Office
