The Managing Director is seeking a talented individual to spearhead the day-to-day running of the office, allowing him to focus on key accounts. Reporting directly to the MD, you'll be responsible for maintaining our service levels, renewing agreements, and nurturing customer relationships.
You will have a wealth of experience in diverse customer IT needs. Key traits include organisational skills, time management, and multitasking ability. You should be reliable, responsible, and capable of working largely unsupervised. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
Are you the right person for the job?
12+ years of experience in 1st or higher support for Windows Server and Microsoft 365 Business
8+ years of experience in 2nd or higher support for Windows Server and Microsoft 365 Business
3+ years of experience in Technical Lead, third line, or IT director-level support
5+ years of people management
5+ years of project management
Expertise in Networking, Routers, Firewalls, VPN technologies
Proficiency in DNS (Internal and public), Virtualization (ideally including HyperV), MS 365 (Security, Compliance, Endpoint Management)
3+ years of experience in MS 365 (Security, Compliance, Endpoint Management).
Experience with MDM (any platform)
Full UK driving licence and own car with business insurance
What will your role look like?
Tech Lead:
Manage Microsoft 365 tenants, ensuring seamless operation
Oversee security and compliance administration
Lead Exchange administration, rules, and policy management
Spearhead Teams administration, including business voice (training provided)
Drive SharePoint administration and access control design
Deploy and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune and MDM
Provide support for various operating systems (Windows 10, 11, OSX)
Address escalations from Helpdesk and Senior Support Engineer
Conduct IT audits for new customer sites, documenting and presenting findings
Project management and IT migrations
Research new technologies, expanding company knowledge
Facilitate tech sharing within the team
Conduct training sessions for the internal team and customers
Drive Cyber Awareness initiatives (training provided)
Lead internal technology reviews as new tech emerges
General Manager:
Conduct staff reviews and performance management
Address customer service issues and engage in catch-up calls
Communicate changes to customers regarding the company or core IT systems
Collaborate on IT strategy discussions with the Managing Director
Oversee day-to-day office operations, including holiday requests
Manage out-of-hours work and delegate appropriately
Handle contracts for the office, including insurance and rent agreements
Conduct contract reviews with customers as needs change
