Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager at Xi, you will play a crucial role in identifying new project partners, nurturing existing client relationships, and shaping the technical roadmap for our cutting-edge engineering capabilities. This client-facing position involves collaboration with our talented engineers and the wider team to develop next-level technical solutions. While we leverage online meeting tools, we also believe in the power of face-to-face interactions, requiring some travel within the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
New Sales & Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential clients, engage in networking events, conduct market research, and coordinate with the marketing team
Existing Sales & Proposal Development: Work with the technical team to develop, challenge, and review proposals, manage communications, and liaise for resource allocation
Account & Client Management: Create and monitor client plans, schedule regular catch-ups, and conduct post-project reviews
Sales Function & Systems: Coordinate and monitor sales tasks, ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce, produce and review sales pipelines, and facilitate handovers to the technical team
Skills & Experience:
Passion for technology
Strong interpersonal skills
CRM systems expertise (Salesforce)
Commercial experience, proposal drafting, and costing calculations
Project management understanding and resource allocation
Analytical and research skills, trend analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Employment Requirements:
Valid passport and right to work in the UK
Full valid driver's license
