We are committed to excellence in education and are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced welder to join our team as a Welding Tutor.
Job Description:
As a Welding Tutor at Momentum Training, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction and guidance to aspiring welders, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the welding industry. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced welder with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to transition into an exciting teaching role.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Demonstration: Provide comprehensive welding instruction, including theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on training, to students of various skill levels.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create engaging and up-to-date welding course materials.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Safety Awareness: Instill and reinforce safe welding practices, emphasizing the importance of safety in all aspects of welding.
Mentorship: Offer one-on-one guidance to students, addressing their unique learning needs and fostering their personal and professional growth.
Stay Current: Continuously update your own knowledge and skills in welding techniques and industry trends to ensure you provide the most relevant and cutting-edge instruction.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and care of welding equipment used in the training facility.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on welding experience in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and more.
Hold relevant welding certifications and qualifications, such as AWS (American Welding Society) or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey welding knowledge to students.
Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, but not mandatory, as Momentum Training will provide qualifications and support to become an effective tutor.
Strong commitment to safety and the ability to instill safety awareness in students.
Organizational and time management skills to maintain records and follow a structured curriculum.
