The Head of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion will lead WWF's strategy to ensure we provide a workplace and culture where all employees feel safe, respected, included and empowered to fulfil our mission of delivering a world where people and nature can thrive together.
Reporting to the Executive Director of People and Culture, we will look to you to partner with leaders across the organisation to provide education, tools and resources that promote and support an inclusive culture. We want you to place diversity, equality and inclusion at the heart of all that we do and how we do it. You will provide the vision, leadership and direction and work to make WWF UK more accessible to minority groups. Collaborating with HR colleagues you will refine policies, processes and suppliers that support our values and promote equality, diversity and inclusion too.
As our diversity champion you will develop a strategy that celebrates the importance and benefit of difference, creating an environment where people can thrive. Where they are encouraged to bring the richness of their experiences and unique perspectives to the challenges faced by the world today. You will also act as our diversity ambassador for external audiences, helping showcase and share best practice in our sector.
You must have experience of designing, developing and embedding DE&I strategy in an organisation as well as a record of executing initiatives that drive measurable DE&I results. Used to working at a senior level you will be skilled at promoting, championing and influencing institutional change and decision-making. In addition to an in-depth understanding of the DE&I landscape, you will have sound knowledge of equalities and discrimination law.
A good project manager and strong communicator, you are effective at building networks and have advanced facilitation, training and consultation skills. Comfortable driving change and bringing people on the journey, you will be an avid listener and the sort of person who is open to ideas and enjoys working through proposals too.
How to Apply
Our aim is to ensure we become an employer of choice where diversity is truly embraced and where the amazing people who work for us are able to bring their whole selves to work and able to contribute equally and inclusively to what we do. If you are an experienced DE&I professional who can make this happen, we would love to hear from you. We will review applications for applicants requesting part-time hours as well as full time.
Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with cover letter highlighting why you are why you believe you are suited for the role.
At WWF-UK we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community and we offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.
Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We're looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet's natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
