White Label is proud to be supporting a reputable client who, due to growth are now looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Consultancy business. This is an exciting opportunity to work across different industries on technically challenging projects.The Role
The principal engineer role within this company are essentially subject matter experts with a significant track record working on some of the most challenging and exciting project around the world.
The successful candidate will have:
* For this role we are looking for an engineer who has both a practical and theoretical experience within the energy sectors generally, and with strong experience within structural mechanics statistics and dynamics pressure systems structural engineering
* We would expect the principle engineer have to have an understanding of both numerical methods as well as empirical hand calculation methods And with a strong knowledge and understanding of codes and standards seen within industry from BSI, ASME, API and other
* We would expect the ability to be in both linear and non-linear FEA together with demonstrating a high standards of stress analysis, dynamics, thermal/heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
* The candidate will ideally be able to show a progression up the ranks from apprentice to junior engineer to senior engineer and to principal engineer
* The Principal Engineer is not expected to be a team leader however the ability to delete teams run projects would be an advantage
* The candidates should have experience in delegation proposing methods and techniques with an ability to estimate and propose new work, as well as one of the companies approvers, and checkers
* We would expect Principal Engineer to have 15 plus years technical experience - Post University
Requirements
* Although we although we expect strong experience, it is essential you have this backed up by at least a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar STEM subject ideally, 2:1 or above
* Experience in mentoring and training more junior engineers
* Demonstrate an understanding of engineering principles
