This engineering and technology-focused business is dedicated to expanding their engineering teams year after year. They have an excellent opportunity for a talented mid to senior-level electronics engineer who possesses a passion for designing and developing electronics and can swiftly adapt to varying projects.
The Opportunity:
As a Lead Hardware Engineer, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects within a consultancy environment. From firmware development to PCB design, schematics, and layout, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects, applying your expertise and driving innovation. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, work independently, and benefit from exceptional training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop firmware for electronic systems, leveraging your skills in embedded C/C++ programming.
Design PCBs, create schematics, and conduct layout using industry-leading tools.
FPGA development.
Build and test prototypes to validate designs and ensure optimal functionality.
Take the lead on projects, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
Work independently, demonstrating ownership and delivering high-quality results.
For this Senior Hardware Engineer role, a suitable engineer would need:
A strong academic background with a degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
Proficiency in embedded software and electronics, supported by a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Expertise in firmware and embedded design.
Skillful in Altium and circuit design.
Extensive knowledge and experience in FPGA development.
Proficiency in VHDL programming.
SC cleared or clearable (Security Clearance).
Must be a British National.
