Job summary
Questech have an opportunity for an experienced Process Control Technician to join our client in Stocksbridge to support the operation of the electrical function of the team.The role:
* Undertake reactive, preventative maintenance and calibration services to a wide range of combustion/instrumentation control systems
* Work independently on faults and develop and implement solutions as well as monitor performance, prediction of failures and implement improvements.
* Contribute to the teams continuous improvement
* Attend meetings as required to assist in the management of energy, engineering planning, efficiency improvements, and process safety.
Required:
* Have good analytical and organisational skills
* Be able to meet deadlines and communicate in a clear concise manner,
* Be highly computer literate.
* Hold a recognised Electrical / Process Control apprenticeship (HNC/ONC level or equivalent)
* Previous Instrumentation / Control / Electrical experience of industrial systems
* Ability to learn new skills.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and work with technical data.
* Experience of electronics including fault finding and repair to component level.
* Experience of CCTV and audio communications systems.
This role is a days role with some weekend work on a rota basis.
