Job summary
Smart Solutions have an opportunity with an large international manufacturer for a an Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our client's team based in the Baglan area.Hours of work: Full time: Average of 42 hours per week. Shifts 6.30-6.30 Days and Nights. See Shift pattern below:- Week 1: Mon & Tues (Days), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri,Sat & Sun (Nights) Week 2: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Days), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off) Week 3: Mon & Tues (Nights), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri, Sat & Sun (Days) Week 4: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Nights), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off) rotates back to Wk1.
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Electrical Technician:

To ensure electrical and electronic operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
*
To perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
*
To perform preventive maintenance as per established standards and plans
*
To plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
*
To perform quality improvement and cost reduction and productivity as obligated
*
To maintain records and files if requested
*
To participate in emergency on-call duty on a rotational basis and work all shifts flexibly when job demands
*
To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
*
To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
Requirements for the Maintenance Electrical Technician:
*
Electrical & Mechanical experience, ideally from a manufacturing environment
*
Have knowledge and be able to read diagrams of electrical schematics, hydraulics & pneumatics
*
Apprenticeship desirable but experience preferred
*
NVQ in PLC advantageous
What you will get:

A starting rate of £17.88p/h rising to £20.28p/h (following assessment)
*
Overtime: 1.5 Mon-Fri and double on Sundays
*
Permanent Contract
