Job summary
Seeking a well-organised and self-motivated person interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position is responsible for is to supervise the site employees to ensure the site is operating safely at all times and within the guidelines of Sims policies and procedures. Working in Long Marston, the successful candidate will be part of a team and work under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.Key Responsibilities
* Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
* Promotion of a positive health and safety culture
* Observation and adherence of the SimsMMway Safety Golden Rules
* Lead and manage a team of people
* Develop staff to reach their objectives and develop their capabilities
* Promote continuous improvement wherever possible
* Participate and drive growth strategies for the site
* Ensure that Customers/Clients receive excellent customer service and value
* Regularly communicate with other sites on relevant information
* Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

Qualifications
* Previous experience working within the waste or metals recycling sector is desirable
* Previous experience working in the metals industry
* IT literate to include Microsoft Office
* Previous Banksman experience would be an advantage.
* Forklift Truck Licence desirable, but not essential
