We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Engineer to join our team at our offices in Porthmadog, Gwynedd. We are looking for a colleague who is already within this position; or looking to take the next step in your career. We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Portmeirion, Criccieth, Barmouth, Machynlleth, Llanbrynmair, Llanuwchllyn, Bala, Llanrwst, Ruthin, Denbigh, Bodelwyddan, Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, Llandudno, Abergwyngregyn, Bangor, Bethesda, Caernarfon, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Crewe, Nantwich, Oswestry and the surrounding areas.

Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Operations Director, the Trainee Engineer will be part of a team delivering a project either on site or during the design stage. You will take a significant role in managing aspects of the work including safety, quality, time and cost.
On a day to day basis, the Trainee Engineer will be undertaking any of the following tasks:
Reviewing drawings and planning the work
Communicating the plans
Overseeing work progress on site or through design
Setting out
Quality inspections
Measurement and progress recording
Innovating and proposing alternative solutions
Budgets
Valuations
Supplier LiaisonThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a Trainee Engineer who is in receipt of the following:
Full UK Driving Licence
Has a desire to earn whilst gaining valuable work experience in relevant sectors
