Job summary

Immediate opportunity for a Site Manager working for a successful civil engineering contractor in the civils and water sector, working on projects in Kent and East Sussex
Responsibilities of the Site Manager
* To supervise operations of Sub Contractors on site on a day to day basis
* Responsible for overseeing operations on the site on a day-to-day basis and that a project comes in safely, on time and in budget
* Ensuring site safety and environmental compliance
* Monitoring progress of the project
* Maintaining quality control procedures
* Keeping staff motivated and focused
* Problem solving
* Ensure processes and procedures are always complied with
* Ownership of ensuring that all defects/snags are recorded and closed off, internally and by the supply chain
Role Requirements of the Site manager
* Be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach
* good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership
* Managing the site Subcontractors
* Ensuring that the site is always safe and environmentally compliant
* Direct the subcontract team demonstrating strong Knowledge of construction processes and health and safety procedures.
* Strong understanding of CDM & H&S requirements.
Ideal Requirements of the Site Manager
* Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management
* Understanding of Engineering Principles
* Valid driving license
* Experience in the water & civils sector
* A minimum of five years' experience in a site supervisor role within the water industry (preferred)
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* CSCS card
* Temporary Works Supervisor
* EUSR Water Hygiene Card
* Emergency First Aid at Work
